BACKGROUND TO DEVELOPMENT
The entire property of 58 hectares was subdivided in 1997 into 16 x 3-hectares portions. Various owners purchased already 6 of the 16 x 3-hectares. Municipal services to all the portions exist (Escom and Municipal water).
RELEVANT FACTS
Escom power will be available to each plot as well as Municipal water. The present gravel road will be upgraded to a paved road. Lalavuga Home Association is in place with a statute and rules. These rules are not cumbersome, but have in mind good neigbourlyness and the protection of the fynbos and the free flow of animals. Architectural guidelines are being reviewed. Each owner will be entitled to erect one dwelling and may apply to the Municipality for further dwellings.
The Gwaing river mouth provides access to the sea, beach and picnic spots.
